HISTORY:

Green Line proposed in 2003 to support and potentially replicate on-going activities in South Lebanon for conserving the marine turtles. After few meetings, the team decided to focus on two fundamental activities namely the production and dissemination of a Turtle documentary and awareness kit.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES:

The aim of this project is to disseminate information on marine turtles and endangered habitats to schools and associations.

Green Line believes that no conservation program can achieve tangible goals without proper documentation. A 10-minute documentary on the marine turtle (e.g., from egg laying to hatching, habitat, conservation needs, civic responsibilities) in addition to a slide kit was developed.

Watch the documentary produced by Green Line in 2004, the film won the First prize in the Fourth International Festival for Environmental Documentaries  held  on the 14th of February 2005 in Tunis.
